NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (NBRC) invites application for the post of “Neuropsychologist (Project) under NBRC Core Funds.

Applications are invited for the position of Neuropsychologist (Project) in the laboratory of Prof. Pravat K. Mandal at National Brain Research Centre, Manesar, India. The primary scientific interest of the lab is to identify early in vivo biomarkers for neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Alzheimer’s disease. The lab uses neuropsychological batteries (paper pencil test) and will involve computerized (language free and culture free) neuropsychological tests. Lab is mainly specialized to use multi-modal neuroimaging techniques, i.e. magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), functional MRI (fMRI), and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and MEG data to investigate the associated structural, functional, and neurochemical brain alterations, respectively.

Mandatory Requirement: Statement of purpose (SOP) (minimum 500 words) indicating your research interests/expertise and your Ph. D. project details. Candidate should indicate how his/her experience/expertise will help ongoing research activities of the Neuroimaging and Neurospectroscopy laboratory. Candidate without SOP will not be shortlisted. Job Responsibilities: The candidate will help to determine neuropsychological evaluation using Indian adapted version of the Cogstate battery in consultation with the Principal Investigator. He/she will involve in various neuropsychological test (paper pencil and computerized) for various studies. Involve in subject screening process in various localities with team members. Analysis of neuropsychological data and preparing report to the PI.


1. No TA/DA will be payable to the candidates for attending the interview

2. Only candidates who are shortlisted will be called for interview.

3. Candidate are required to attach copy of their self-attested certificates of qualification &

experience in support of the claims made by them in their application, failing which their

application shall summarily stand rejected without any intimation.
